On November 25, 2025, Professor Dr. Narumon Pinyosinwat, Minister of Education, held bilateral discussions with Mr. Andreas Schneider, Director for Education and Skills of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), to exchange progress on educational cooperation and approaches to support Thailand during its OECD membership application process<\/strong>. The OECD commended Thailand’s preparedness in both the Education Technical Review process and educational sector development, while providing opportunities for Thailand to submit data for the OECD Digital Education Outlook report, including collaborative work on developing AI Literacy assessments currently underway.The Director of the Institute for the Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology<\/strong> reported progress on developing a national AI curriculum that transitions from “learning about AI” to “learning with AI”<\/strong>. Additionally, participation in various OECD projects such as the PISA project and collaboration with international research partners to continuously advance educational innovation was discussed. The Ministry of Education has been working continuously with the OECD since 2016 on the Education Policy Review<\/strong>. Furthermore, the Director of the Multilateral Cooperation Group, Bureau of International Cooperation, Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education<\/strong> proposed emphasizing the development of educational quality assessment systems and upgrading the national testing system<\/strong>. The Ministry of Education and OECD will advance cooperation in curriculum, educational innovation, information systems, and quality assessment to elevate Thailand’s education system to international standards and effectively support Thailand’s OECD membership application.<\/p>\n
