Background and Principles
Under the new Implementation Blueprint 2022-2026, the Digital Transformation Working Group has established strategic plans and operational scopes to develop digital infrastructure, digital innovation, digital commerce, and digital technology skills. The working group has set goals to promote the comprehensive use of digital and ICT technologies and to develop economic growth that can compete on the global stage.

Recent Progress
Follow up on operational outcomes from the seminar “Leveraging Digital Technology and Innovation to Drive the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) and Digital Transformation under the IMT-GT Framework,” as well as discussions on the progress of engagement with e-commerce industry groups such as Shopee and Lazada to support digital economy integration and empower MSMEs. It was agreed to strengthen cooperation with UNINET to conduct international studies on digital readiness, policy gaps, and infrastructure requirements.
