Greater Mekong Subregion Economic Cooperation Program (GMS)
The GMS Program was established in 1992 as a cooperation framework among 6 countries in the Greater Mekong Subregion, comprising Cambodia, China (Yunnan Province and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region), Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. Its objective is to foster mutually beneficial economic cooperation, utilizing financial and technical support from the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council serves as the main coordinating agency for the GMS Program in Thailand.
Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle (IMT-GT)
The IMT-GT Program was established in 1993, covering 14 southern provinces of Thailand, 11 states in northern and western Malaysia, and 10 provinces on the island of Sumatra in Indonesia. Its objective is to promote regional economic development by capitalizing on the advantages of geographical proximity and similarities in environment, religion, culture, traditions, and language. The Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council serves as the national secretariat for the IMT-GT Program in Thailand.

APEC cooperation consists of 21 member economies and aims to promote the multilateral trading system, support regional and global economic growth by reducing barriers and facilitating trade, services, and investment between economies. The Cabinet has assigned the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Councilas the main responsible agency for participating in the APEC Economic Committee (EC) meetings and driving the APEC Structural Reform agenda

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)
The OECD is an international organization that plays a crucial role in providing research information and advice, exchanging best practices, and formulating policy recommendations to promote security, equality, well-being, and improved quality of life, in line with its vision of “Better Policies for Better Lives”. Currently, it has 38 member countries. The Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs serve as joint secretariats in the Steering Committee for Thailand’s OECD membership process.

United Nations & Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
The United Nations (UN) was founded in 1945 with the purpose of creating peace, tranquility, and improving the well-being of people worldwide. Currently, it has 193 member countries. Its focus is on driving the world to achieve the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which comprises 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a framework for joint action to achieve sustainable social, economic, and environmental development, leaving no one behind, by 2030. The Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council serves as the secretariat of the National Committee for Sustainable Development (CSD), which is the mechanism for driving and monitoring Thailand’s implementation of the SDGs.
