Background and Principles
The transport connectivity pillar emphasizes the development of infrastructure in both physical connectivity dimensions to achieve seamless transportation and transport facilitation that reduces inequality, is sustainable, safe, and has robust telecommunications networks capable of connecting at the international level. It also emphasizes regulatory connectivity to enable physical infrastructure connectivity to be utilized to its full potential.
Strategic Issues

Ratify the ASEAN Framework Agreement on the Facilitation of Cross-Border Transport
Facilitate cross-border passenger transport by road vehicles
Implement the Memorandum of Understanding on Air Connectivity Revised Edition 2018

Promote maritime connectivity
particularly regarding car ferries and cruise ships
Accelerate Physical Connectivity Projects (PCPs) in six economic corridors
Recent Progress
Currently, relevant agencies of member countries are in the process of advancing Physical Connectivity Projects (PCPs) to achieve concrete progress, particularly high-priority projects such as the Second Koh Lak Bridge (Sungai Kolok-Rantau Panjang) and the Hat Yai-Padang Besar Double Track Railway construction project. However, the IMT-GT Blueprint recognizes the challenges in developing joint connectivity projects among all three countries in developing quality transportation network systems that connect seamlessly while considering environmental factors.
