Background and Significance
On February 15, 2022, the Cabinet acknowledged the progress report of the Country Programme Phase I, which concluded in 2021, and assigned the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council to consult with relevant agencies and develop projects under Country Programme Phase II. Subsequently, the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs consulted with the OECD and relevant agencies, leading to the conclusion of cooperation in 20 projects under 4 areas of collaboration.

Key Aspects of Projects under Country Programme Phase II
The implementation of Country Programme (CP) Phase II is a three-year collaboration (2023-2026) aimed at enabling Thailand to access OECD’s knowledge and best practices. This will help develop and elevate Thailand’s development approaches and domestic standards to be on par with international levels, aligning with the 20-Year National Strategy (2018-2037), the 13th National Economic and Social Development Plan (2023-2027), and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
